This is for PC gamers, what does the term mod mean?

I hear it being used a lot with pc gamers games like skyrim, fallout etc

what does mod do or mean?

can you mod a console like i have a ps3

    mod is short for modification. Simply put it is a user created addition to a game and can range from different looking skins and models to complete overhauls of game features.

    Mod is short for modify or modification. Basically it refers to changing a game or other program from the way it was when sold.

    Basically what they said but they forgot to mention that you can't mod console games.
