Bugs living on my filter pad?

I was clean my aquarium filter today and i happen to see moving things on my filter pad. They look like white worms . i have a marineland eclipse 1 filter. Are these bugs bad or good? if so how would i get rid of them?

    1. stop overfeeding,

    2. wipe off any bugs and rinse off the pad

    3. don't clean your biowheel

    4. use a siphon gravel cleaner properly to vacuum the gravel and do a few small water changes this month

    5. don't overfeed anymore

    6. the bugs aren't harmful

    they are probably fly maggots. you should buy a new filter pad to be safe. i would make sure that none of them are in the tank as well.
