good closed back headphones.?

i use Sennheiser HD 25-1 II's at work, can't afford a pair for the commute. Considered the HD-25-SP's, but frequency range is vastly reduced and headband not as comfortable or as pliable.

Seen some good prices on the AKG k450's. Are they as good? Is anything else.

Don't aspire to look like I'm in the black eyed peas or star wars. Just want nice sounding cans that won't hurt my ears or annoy the person next to me on the commute.

Sennheiser is the most affordable brand to go with, other REPUTABLE brands are more expensive (Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Etymotic, Beyerdynamic, Audio-Technica).

The K450 is nowhere close to the HD25 but it's a good sounding and comfortable phone that might suit you. The built quality is good and the headband pressure is OK for long commutes. I've slept with the K440 on, forgot they were there, haha.

They're going for bargain price now for the 440 and 450 and well worth listening to.

    Good value.
