Income Support and working 4 hours a week?

I have several health problems preventing me from working full time. I receive income support with a supplement because of incapacity. Someone has offered me a small job - 4 hours a week, £24. I wonder how much one is allowed to earn before you get your benefits cut, or do they just take the £24?

Don't bother taking on the 4 hour job, you might lose more from your Income Support than the £24 that you earn. That's why people stay on benefits for years, the system is designed to take you out as soon as you start earning peanuts thanks to our useless government.

I believe they just take the £24. Though I don't think even if you have health problems they will allow you to work AT ALL on income support. Maybe phone the job centre anonymously to seek advice.

Ring the benefits agency and talk to an advisor. The advice you will be given will be correct.
