Deduction of State income tax in one state, sales tax in another?

I moved from California to Texas in 2011. Can I deduct my state income tax for the time I was in California and State Sales tax for the time I was in Texas? Or can I only choose one?

    Only one

    Either:

    1) California Income Taxes

    or

    2) California and Texas Sales Taxes
