What Is better, Trophies or Achievements which one is more rewarding?
personally I would say the ps3 but thats cause I game more on ps3 and it makes more sense at the end, you receive a platinum trophy....
I have never bothered to collect everything for a game on 360 or even looked at what am meant to do to get achievement so what do you get at the end?
I know this is irrelevant but I play games for trophies (sad I know) & am interested to know what you lot think?
does PC have any similar scheme?

I personally think trophies are SO much better. It seems much more rewarding in the end and I love the fact that you get rewarded for getting all the trophies.
Some PC games have achievements on Steam but not all games.

Before I got on XBL I seriously thought you could use it as a sort of currency, when I found out it's just a number next to your name that it doesn't do anything for you...well that was disappointing. The same thing goes for trophies, they do nothing for you other than giving you an "attaboy" pat on the back. If they made it so I could use certain gaming points to get DLC, then it'd be something I'm all for, otherwise I feel like it's just something to have us chasing after achievements simply because they are there.

Xbox gamer-score is better i think because numbers are easier to compare :P

I dislike the tiered fashion of the PS3 rewards but have also recently thrown out collecting these things. I feel like they are destroying video games for me because rather than getting engrossed in my games I'm going after some stupid like "bloop - ACHIEVEMENT EARNED!"
For those of us that have a higher respect for games as art, we don't want them there. Could you imagine if when watching a movie there would be trophy pops ups "Trophy Unlocked - You watched the Matrix Trilogy" or reading books? "Chapter 2 - Achievement Unlocked - You read chapter 1"
Achievements lure us to play games a certain way, which may not be what we want.
