I'm heading to Vegas in the summer, best time to book room?

Is it best to book the room now or wait to nearer the time to get it cheaper?

Your best bet would to be book RIGHT when you have the money. Prices go up, rooms book fast especially in the summer, you can find better rates online and you won't have to worry about coming here with hotel stress! Get it all taken care of because finding the hotel is the hardest part of the whole trip, as easy as it looks because how many we have, it's not simple. ALSO, I hope you are ready for extreme heat. I have lived here for 2 years and still can't handle how hot it gets. Maybe the fall would be better, just hope you like hot dry heat and the sun. Have a good trip!

If you find a rate you like, and it's with a site that will give a full refund if you cancel, there's no harm in booking it now. Note that if you book directly with the casino, they will only charge you for the first night and everything is fully refundable. Most travel websites will charge the full amount immediately, but will have full refunds of cancellations *unless* you've booked it as a package with a flight, in which case you're usually locked in.

If you find a cheaper rate later on, you can always book it then. If it's with the same hotel and you've booked it directly through the hotel, you can just call reservations and get the cheaper rate (they won't refund your original first-night price but your total cost at check-out will be the lower rate).

As long as you're not booking on the 4th of July weekend, summer rates in Vegas are usually pretty low, as the weather is too hot for some, and it's a slow time of year for conventions.

The rule to book a room in Vegas is: the earlier, the better. You can find much better deals. If you have time, sign up with the hotel you want online for email promotions.

Some Vegas resorts offer as much as 25 to 50 per cent off if you book really early.

They have a very generous cancellation policy so you can always cancel up to 3 or 7 days before (check each hotel, since their policies differ)

Another place to find good promo codes is fatwallet, which is free. Don't buy anything, all the information you need is out there (online) and it's completely free.

Yes the earlier the better. Do not buy any books, don't buy any gimmicks, just book as early as you can after shopping around for the best deals online. Book directly with the hotel or go to any website which specializes in Vegas (even vegas com will do) and compare all the best deals.

I agree with Linus. Most of these forum users who give advice that say they live in Las Vegas give out horrible suggestions that don't save anyone money. These people are nothing more than tourists with a mortgage in Las Vegas. Every weekend they will go to the strip, just like the tourists do, and participate in all the things the tourists do. They have no idea how to save money because they are not in the casinos everyday like the professional gamblers or casino workers.

I would most certainly pay a little money for good information if it helped me save a lot of money. Don't pay to much attention to the local yokels who tell you that it is a waste of money to pay for information. They have no idea what they are talking about. They are basically tourists living in Vegas.

There is a way to book a room that will save you 25% fo 50% off advertised prices. There is a way to eat buffet meals at 50% off everytime you eat. There is a way to get casino money for free on certain games. There is a plethora of knowledge available that will save the average person hundreds of dollars when you visit Vegas.

Order the ebook, "How to Save Hundreds of Dollars On Your Next Trip To Las Vegas". It cost me $5 when I ordered it and it pays for itself 50X over. I would just leave you the web address but there are some nerds who like reporting people for trying to help others. If you want the web address for this ebook, then just send me an email. It is well worth it.
