Duty free allowence UK to Ireland?
How many, & is one allowed, to bring duty free cigaretts into Ireland when flying from the UK.

There are no duty free cigs coming from UK to Ireland - the prices you will pay in the so called "duty free shops" will be duty paid prices but your allowances can be found here http://www.dutyfreeonarrival.com/en/allowances/289...

Within the EC the concept of duty free no longer exists. Assuming your an adult then you can take as many cigarettes as you wish. The only requirement is that they must be for your own consumption.
Stupid idea though given that the UK is about the most expensive place in the world to buy cigarettes.

There is no duty free allowance - that is only for travel outside of Europe. You can take up to 800 cigarettes before questions are asked by customs.
