Daith piercing pain rating?

Question

I've been considering for a while about this, but I have very low pain tolerance so I've been putting it off. I was wondering how it compared to other piercings, e.g. better or worse than helix/ tragus, etc. Just a simple comparison. I understand not everyone feels pain as much as others, but just a general idea on pain from 0-10 perhaps? And how sore is it afterwards compared to other piercings, or just about similar?

Also, I'm guessing it's pierced with a curved barbell, or does it not matter so much in this case? I guess I could ask the piercer this, so if no-one knows immediately, not to worry.

And don't worry, I fully understand the proper aftercare, etc etc.

I have no experience regarding a daith piercing, but I have a rook piercing and I've heard from several people that it is the most painful ear piercing you can get, so I guess a daith isn't worse than that. I have a low pain tolerance as well, but I survived the rook piercing by concentrating on my breathing (this sounds stupid but it really does work) and taking almost over-exaggerated deep breaths and being relaxed in my whole body.

A cartilage piercing almost always hurts more than a piercing that goes through flesh, but I'd guess it would be like a 7 or 8 on a "pain scale". I'd say it hurts more than a helix (I have three helix piercings myself). It is probably quite sore afterwards, so don't touch it unless you clean it. A daith is pierced with a curved barbell or a captive bead ring.

Don't hesitate about having a certain piercing done because of that you think it would hurt too much, the pain is only temporary and after that you have a cool piercing to show off! :D :D

Having a Daith piercing is painful but on a scale of 1/10 I would say its a 6 I had mine  done Friday I have also had my noise pierced daith a little more painful but worth it.
