Do I have insomnia or something else?

For the last week, I haven't slept through an entire night. I'm up at least three times every night. I sometimes have night terrors but not very often. I wake up and it takes a very long time to sleep again. Last night was the worst of all. I went to sleep and I awoke about three times in an hour because of a night terror. I awoke to hear people having conversations and I got up several times. I was up from about 1am until 6am. After that I awoke a few times and eventually got up at 9am. Am I suffering from insomnia or just something else?

Thank You

I don't know much about your situation but if you are able to fall asleep at night, it's not insomnia and actually sounds like your night terrors are what wake you and keep you up. Insomniacs have a very difficult time just getting to sleep.

I have plenty of hindrance too! I'm 34 weeks pregnant. Tips: Put in a dvd of anything you prefer however have obvious earlier than eg: Friends, Sex & The City, Firefly, whatever that runs for hours that floats your boat. It clears your head of all of the ones ideas you can not do away with. Try a hot bathe or tub simply earlier than entering mattress. Use a lavender cleaning soap/bubble tub. Have a pitcher of wine at dinner. Don't have an excessive amount of to devour at dinner, simply sufficient that you are now not hungry however now not too complete. Don't have an excessive amount of sugar or carbs. Go for an extended stroll (or run if you are now not pregnant) in the course of the day or past due afternoon to relatively tire you out. Physically chill out your frame in mattress, it is mighty how nerve-racking your frame can get and you do not comprehend it. Good good fortune, repeatedly there is not anything that is helping, however I take a look at a mixture of those day-to-day. Think of all of the others in the market who consider the equal...going over embarrassing moments of their heads after they simply desire to SLEEEEEP!

Hmm, it is a possibility. However, I have insomnia and I haven't slept for more than an hour a night for over 5 years.
