stomach coke and mint explosion?

We've all seen the Your Tube video of a coke bottle when a mint is added and it blows up. If someone drank some coke then ate a mint would it not upset the person? Would their be any explosion internally or any other damage? I'm trying to stop my son from doing this just in case it does lead to an internal explosion!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I've seen a youtube video on this. It is dangerous, don't do it.

The fool went and drank half a bottle of soda, and swallowed some mentos. What happened was he threw up the explosion, and when he turned around, you can see the bottom of his pants were soaked as well, presumably from a butt explosion. This is dangerous, and can rupture the stomach, esophagus, and intestines.

there's no way that could happen

the cola and mint is because of all the gas in the bottle causing it to expand and burst

the stomach already has loads of gases inside, there is no pressure in the stomach to for it to explode

nothing will happen :) dont worry
