Why do you not want to run your jet ski in shallow water?

On the New Jersey State boating safety test the correct answer is "You do not want to annoy the people on shore". Why I am there and gone in seconds, a better answer as I see it is"You can damage you jet ski by sucking dirt up into the pump unit". How do you feel about this?

Because Jet Ski's are meant to be in the ocean. Not on land. Just like how electronics are not meant to be in water and if it is it's gets damaged........ That's just how things works. It's the same with Jet Ski's

no because if your going in shallow water on a jet skit and you hit a big rock or coral reef or something like that there you are you could flip it puncture it dent it or even crash the motor!and not to mention you could get seriously hurt!they are freaking fun though!
