Is this bag waterproof, or can it be waterproofed?

I recently bought a DC borne bag for school and it says it's 100% polyester.

The part that says DC really big is embroidered/sewed on and I am wondering if it will soak up water and does the bag in general soak up water. If it isn't waterproof is there anyway I can make it waterproof?

    Hmm, I don't think so... I would buy some waterproof lining (like tarpooling.. It like £1 for a few meters, you'll need less then a meter) turn your bag inside out and stitch the lining inside, or get your parents/grandparents or take it to a dress makers (trust me, they will!) And that till make it 100% waterproof!

    I think so. It is water proof because polyester is used in making plastics
