Accident with computer. Wont accept password & need USB already in?.?
Water dripped from ceiling. Moved Comp away but keyboard got little wet. Now I cannot log in as password not accepted. Pop up advising use Flash /floppy disk? something or USB which is already inserted. Also saying No drive. What does this mean and what can I do to fix. Can I over ride password -and how?
I take exception to the comments about 'some other persons property'. As a matter of fact the storm that we encountered in the UK today not only contributed to my computer misfortune but deluged a lot more in our home today. I am currently writing this on my work laptop.

That is a lousy tale for hacking someone's computer. The easiest solution if the keyboard became "wet' is attaching another one, available from US $ 4.90 upwards.
The demand for a floppy or USB stick either says that the disk is encrypted and a bootable rescue file was generated for cases like loss of passwords and it was stored on one of these media. No problem if you have it. Just insert it and boot it.
Second possibility is that the bios in absence of the password cannot read the encrypted hard disk and does not see a valid operating system.It wants you to install another one.
Easy to solve by attaching a working keyboard and typing the correct password during the boot procedure.
Neither having password nor rescue media is a sign for having another one's computer. That problem is solvable by giving it back.

i'm no longer attempting to insult your intelligence the following, notwithstanding the first aspect i'd do is make positive you do not have caps lock on. heavily, that's the #a million reason for people wondering their passwords do not artwork. except you've an administrator account on the computer that you'll be able to log into to reset the password on the single you attempt to apply, you're likely out of luck and would ought to take it to an engineer to handle.
