What is 'morally right' to you?

What qualifies as 'morally right' to you? Do you believe that what's morally right or wrong depends on the situation? Or do these morally right or wrong things apply to every and any situation, regardless?

And what's your sun and moon sign (and any other placements you feel are relevent)?

morally right to me, is basically doing the best that you can do in any given situation. i mean i'd like to say that if everybody did such and such... that would make the world a better place and therefore that is the moral thing to do. but it doesn't work like that. it's situation dependent. like you wouldn't walk into a bakery and steal a loaf of bread if you can totally afford it, but if you were starving to death ehh ya know how it becomes a bit of a gray area. doing the best you are capable of doing, is what's morally right.

What I believe is Morally right .. such a broad topic I just don't know where to start.

When it comes to relationships: being faithful and putting in time, effort, and communication,

I believe after a certain point that it is respectful to split the bill or to take him out once in awhile.

More importantly realizing that relationships take work and times will get tough.. bailing is not my thing.

I believe you should give without wanting anything in return or being praised for it.

When it comes to health care..

I believe that people should be able to die in peace or be able to be given the skills to regain Independenceence.( virgina henderson words)

I believe that the elderly should be defended not easy bait for people wanting to prey on them.

imagine this.. a daughter puts her own mother in a nursing home. Then a year later the daughter sells her mothers house and cashes in on a lot of money. Then the daughter takes that money and buys herselfslef a new house. Her mother is left in a healthy state, with an alert mind, able to move around in a wheel chair, and take care of herself with assistance.. so she has a while before it is her time. So where does that leave her mom?? Without a house, in a nursing home, and not knowing if she is going to have enough money because she had to give her rights up due to the progression of memory loss?? Nursing homes are not cheap.. the one I work at runs about 5,000 to 10,000 a month and that is not including being chared out for medicine, bandages, shampoo, briefs, and all other small items that an individual needs.. don't think these things don't happen..true story by the way.

I believe that children should be protected and raised in a secure environmentment.

If your parents are mentally healthy.. then I believe they do deserve respect.

Most of all, I believe that a lot of people should learn to respect theirselves

I don't know if I got off topic but I could keep going but I try to sum it all up

    = )

  • To me, it depends on the situation.

For example, You know the saying "honor you mother and father", right? Well, what if, hypothetically, your mom or dad told you to go murder someone? Would you still hold to the old "honor your mother and father"? Of course not.

Plus also, different people have different ideas on what is morally right and what isn't. So, it's really subjective, depending on the person's upbringing and whether or not they have conservative views or more open-minded views.

So, I take a simply view of it ---- as long as the way you are living your life is not a burden on others ( such as robbing, raping, murdering, etc. ), you don't have to worry about what's right or wrong.

    Cheers! :-)

It definetely depends on the situation. In some situations, a decision could stop conflict, or start more, or maybe both.

I agree with the 1st answer. your conscious determines how morally right you were too.yes there are situational f'k ups that make you choose both right and wrong at the same time..in that time, your action really depends on the type of person you are

  • Trying your best to help people and be a kind person, whilst also giving time and being kind to yourself. Morally wrong to me is deliberately trying to harm someone either physically or emotionally out of cold blood or malice. Sometimes people hurt each other by mistake or whilst trying to defend themselves or the ones they love.

It's already been worked out long before. Because I am familiar with Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development, I cannot give an unbiased answer.

    btw, I agree with Kohlberg

jesus christ! pisces... i couldn't hardly interpret this..

Morally right to me is having a healthly pathway, if my pathway is ruined, or damaged, i don't considered it justified, so what i do is correct it until i'm satisfied, you may call it perfectionist, i just call it not want to live in a mess. and by doing that i have become "morally right" "i am epick geek. i am morally right, because..." etc etc.".
