Does this sound correctly written?

    This would sound better:

    It was my job, and mine alone, to ensure contracts were serviced.

    NB: I've used a comma before 'and' (which is unusual). This is known as the 'Oxford comma' which can be used before 'and' to separate a phrase from the rest of the sentence.
