Can MDF be treated with WaterSeal to protect it from possible moisture?

I plan to use it to frame the mirror but I'm concerned that it will fluff-up if, and when moisture does penetrate it.

Thanks

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I think they want a pandemic so they can declare martial law and take away the rest of our rights and liberty. The WHO has known for some time that the virus mutates on a regular basis and could have been working on any number of cures. The Avian type has been researched to death as has the swine variety and if this is a conspiracy, they bred it in the labs for this express purpose. Yes, closing the borders might help some but anyone wanting to get across can get here with just a little work. With over 2000 miles of border and check stations only at major crossings, it is easy to find a hole. The infected people are trying to get here for treatment. If our government was that concerned they'd set up aid stations at the borders along with the Mexican government and treat them at that point eliminating the need for a crossing. It is that simple!

Hmm - good question. I have primed and painted MDF with latex primer and paint. It has held up well in south Louisiana humidity. (not outside)

    LOL
