Have you ever eaten a Doner kebab?

Its like a Turkish version of a Burrito. It is slices of roast meat and salad wrapped in a slice of flat bread.

Often. There are three good places in the town where I live in Italy and they're all over Europe. I was pleased that there's one on the 16th Street Mall in Denver near my Colorado home now too.

Yes, but here it's usually called by its Arabic name, Shawerma (Shawarma). Doner kebab is the Turkish phrase for the same dish. I can find it in Beef, Lamb or Chicken varieties, and it is layered on the roasting spit in the traditional style. Most restaurants that serve it in the US also serve Gyros, which is a Greek variation made of minced meat on a spit, roasted vertically like Shawerma.

Yes, I had some, but it is more like a felafel sandwich than a burrito. I prefer the felafel, as with Döner (or the greek Gyros), you never can be sure what is in the 'meat'. There has been news with spoilt meat in the Döners, that made people sick. The ones in the US are made not of layered meat, but from minced meat.

Burrito is really wrapped shut and has more ingredients, such as rice, beans and greens and hot sauce. To me a burrito seems more whole.

I've had them. They reckon it's just about the most unhealthy thing you can eat.
