hearing somebody is better than me makes me feel queezy?

I mean I hear all the time about people being better than me at something and it just makes me feel really bummed, depressed, jealous, and angry. I mean it drives me mad, to the point were I feel like I need to try even harder which leads me to breaking down from pressure. I mean just hearing that I got all A's but one B+ not making honor roll makes me crazy... Any recomendations on what I should do?

There will always be people who are better than you. No matter what. Everyone is different, excells in different areas. Could you imagine if you had kids you wouldn't want them to be better than you? I did for a while, then I realized of course I was my kids to be better than me, they can help the world.

Then I applied that thinking to other people. If I was the 'best' person on this planet, that would be f*cking horrible. Imagine if everyone was below you. Would that be a good place to live? A creative and exciting place to live? No. People will are, have been, always will be better than you in some way or another. What can you do about it? Nothing.

There's no sense in getting worked up about something you can't influence.

It sounds like it is driving you crazy. You could try some grounding techniques when you get upset. i.e. holding a piece of ice, counting backwards from ten, feeling the fabric on your clothing, etc. This distracts the mind. I recommend seeing a therapist if you feel like you can't handle it any more. It sounds like you have a lot of anxiety from these situations, and anxiety can and will most certainly make you feel queasy/nauseous. I hope you find a solution.
