How strict is the UK Hazard Perception test?

Hello, while doing test clips I am finding myself loosing out on marks simply for noticing a hazard before it wants me to click even by a fraction of a second. In the real test are they that strict about when you click as personally (and not just because I'm loosing marks over it) I think that it is better to notice hazards early than late.

So, how lenient are they over this kind of thing, is it a matter of if you didn't click within the set times you fail or if you are a fraction of a second out they will let you have the marks?

Is it advisable to click 2/3 times per hazard with a half second gap between clicks to make sure a hazard counts?

Do they want you click when you see the hazard or when you may/will have to brake for it or is it in the middle ground of just before you may/will have to brake?

Many thanks to anyone who can answer any/all of my questions.

I've come across this problem before - here's your solution.

Click twice for each hazzard, because you will always be credited with the higher of the 2 clicks - so.......

if you click too early (first click - no points), then the second click is after the scoring window opens - then you will score whatever the second click was worth.....

if your first click is OK (say 5 points) and the second click is only 2 points, you will be credited with the higher score of 5.

No rhythmic clicking throughout the clip, and only a maximum of 17 clicks per clip.

Click when you see the potential hazard - and then twice if it begins to develop into a problem (something that will make you slow down or swerve).

That's the way the software works - Good Luck

click when ever you see a up comeing hazard ie a car in a tight street or a cross roads.

as for timing you have a fair window to click in for max score and if you are a bit out you still get a few points.

it is fairy easy, you can fail hole clips and still pass.
