Delivery van insurance?

Hi, my friend would like to start a small delivery firm, but he has been told by a couple of firms that it will cost at least £450 per month to insure (in the uk)

Is this right, or are they trying to con him?

It seems eccesive to me.

I have looked on the internet but all the sites require you to give them a lot of information I don't have, before they will give a quote.

Thanks.

Never do on line quotes. They are never accurate. Call some brokers and get some quotes. Your friend probly has a commercial truck or van? If it is not commercial vehicle it may be rated just for business use and that would cost less.

To explain the difference is the reason you need to speak to a live insurance agent to get some professional help. And, it does not cost more to have someone else do the work for you. And, you may save some money because an insurance agent will know what you need and what your looking for better than you do.

    That's about right.

It sounds excessive to you, because you have no idea how much it SHOULD cost.
