World of Warcraft: Why don't Blizzard remake the game as free play with micro transactions?

Blizzards lose like 1/3 of its players this year. Many are switching to free play games like League of Legends which has micro transactions as optional. I believe that Blizzards could brings its players number up a lot if World of Warcraft switch to that mode. Make it to people have to buy keys for end game raids and even the super gears. Heck real money auction house in World of Warcraft would be better then Diablo 3 auction house. League of Legends has over 30 millions players and World of Warcraft has like 8 millions( I think it's more like 1 or 2 millions...). Free should be all the way up to level 90 and not 20... Don't you agree?

I imagine someday something like that *might* happen, but prob not until they're done making expansions and cut down on the number of servers a lot...profit from new little stuff to buy instead of new content. Currently they still have a lot of subscriber accounts and servers to maintain (plus the funds for future projects and expansions) and there is no guarantee that relying on more real-money items would cover their current costs. Employees don't work for free.

Because World of Warcraft is still much popular MMORPG until now.
