Is this rudeness (waiter)?
If a waiter approaches me for my order and I'm trying to explain something to him, and the waiter just goes "sorry I don't understand," and leaves, do you think it's a bit rude or do you think he should have took the time to hear what I was trying to say?

he is getting paid to be hospitable. i'm so sorry you had such a bad experience, he definitely should not have treated you like that.

Being impatient with a paying customer is rude. If the waiter was really busy, then perhaps I would be a little tolerant but otherwise I would inform the manager or owner that they are losing customers due to a waiter who clearly does not like his job

he should have took the time to hear what you were trying to say, obviously. It's his job!

Don't tip, and tell management!
