Has anyone used the online alarm and how to set it?

I have tried the online alarm clock and set it to go off in the morning but nothing happens. Does the computer need to be on or can it be shut down?

Or, is this all just another one of those online jokes?

I don't have a clock radio alarm and there's no alarm on my smart phone.

The computer will need to be on for the alarm to go off.
