beach towns within travel distance of bedfordshire?
Hiya my name is Jo i am interested in taking my family my man, my self and our toddler camping down by the sea sometime this summer. But the question is were my favourite beach is Weymouth but its so far away i am looking for a sandy beach with a nice beach town plenty of shops/nice things to do not too far away from Bedfordshire i rather keep travel under 2 hours as keeping a two year old entertained in the car for a long period of time is not easy plus petrol prices are ridiculous.
please can you suggest some good beach towns

The closest seaside towns to Bedfordshire would be resorts on the Essex coast like Clacton, Walton on the Naze and Frinton, but they are not nearly as nice as Weymouth.
Google them followed by the words 'tourist information'
