I think its slightly old fashioned but cute
In UK only 723 babies were named Martha last year so it's not that common!

Not my style personally.
It makes think of the show Martha Speaks on PBS kids.
I never watched it but see it listed to play next...
Martha Speaks is a Canadian/American animated children's television series based on the 1992 children's book of the same name by Susan Meddaugh, about a talking dog named Martha (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain), who is owned by ten-year-old Helen Lorraine (known in the books as Helen Finney). When Helen feeds Martha some alphabet soup, the soup travels to her brain instead of her stomach, resulting in her ability to speak.
Martha ranked 730 in the US in 2012.
So they seem to be doing almost even with it's popularity in UK.
Martha was most popular in the year 1950 (#32) in the US.
Some famous Marthas are Martha Stewart, home advisor/media mogul. Martha Washington, 1st U.S. First Lady. Martha Graham, choreographer.

It is old fashioned but I still think it's cute.
I don't personally know any old Martha's.
I know a 20 year old and 5 year old.
Not my favourite but I quite like it. :)
