Dead leaves in my garden have lots of white tubes on the under side.?

The tubes are hard and white, about 1 cm long and a millimetre wide. Any ideas?

cases for insect eggs of some kind, if they're tube shaped and not just vaguely cylindrical then they're wheel bug eggs, or assassin bug eggs, or something else in that area

could be any number of things. most likely a fungus or mold, or some kind of insect cocoon/egg. unless I get a picture I can't tell you more.

I wouldn't touch it or try to burn the leaves. (might be bad for you)
