I haven't received one of these new VNs yet, but, it's very interesting.

Update:

Well... I am currently using the Canadian site, even though I live in USA (hate new format).

Who knows what's going on? :-(

Update 2:

@Lorraine & PetTheDog: Tell Moondog that she can say it, as long as she either asks a non-rant question, or posts a non-rant answer. Not making accusations; just a friendly heads-up. Otherwise, she should appeal. Plenty of people are saying much worse.

@J..: True. It's best to just ignore questions that don't provide enough info. :/

@Helen: Very interesting (and truthful) responses.

Sounds like either a glitch or just nonsense.

Read the first part. "You will be able to post new content on Yahoo Answers" --- that must imply that you cannot post content ... after you got a vio? Clearly untrue....so ...

No. Surely, it is showing the suspension appeal notice instead of a violation notice appeal. Must be a glitch!

Just my logic, but I don't think anyone will be suspended due to a denied appeal.

It must be a glitch because if every user who ever once received a legitimate violation is automatically suspended, then probably more than 50 percent of the members would be gone. I think part of the problem is people reporting honest mistakes. For example, there is a top contributor in mathematics who answered the following question or something similar:

Does the following data imply a linear relationship?

Answer: Could you please supply the data under additional details, so that I can respond correctly?

Technically, he could be hit with a violation for violating the required Q/A format. And some trusted members are petty enough to report him.

Maybe they're just determined to get rid of us all, one by one? And yeah, I'm using the Canadian site too....

    "withing 24 to 48 hours"

Somebody needs to learn how to proofread.... ROFL

I was going to suggest you re-post your question on the Yahoo Answers Questions forum, but I see you already have. ;-) (In case anyone was wondering, the link to that forum is http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/dir/index;_ylt=Ar3LQ8c... )

    EDIT:

Someone asked the same question just before you did, and got some interesting responses, lol: http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As...

As Lorraine said, Moondog DID receive a violation.

    I hate it.

Oh well, if it happens it happens.

Moondog got a violation notice for daring to suggest there might be a mass exodus from yahoo with this new layout.

Bit OTT wouldn't you think ?
