Baby still transverse position at 36+3?

While of course it's possible for baby to turn by itself still my midwife is concerned s/he is still in transverse position (across my tummy rather than head down)

She mentioned the ECV which I've only heard horrendous stories about and she also mentioned the possibility of a section

I'm upright and moving as much as possible and when I sit down for anything I sit on a birthing ball to keep upright so I'm trying to do what I can to encourage baby to turn.

My daughter was well engaged by now and delivered naturally at 38 weeks. I know each pregnancy is different but this is starting to worry me

Anyone have the ECV and it go ok?

Or any recommendations to help baby go head down?

With my last pregnancy my baby did not want to get into position. My midwife asked that I lay in bed with my hips higher then my head for a while and she was hoping that would work to get him to turn around. I did research online to see what other women have done to get their babies to turn and some of the other suggestions were to place some frozen vegetables on the top of your stomach. The baby will not like the cold and try to move away from it. Others placed something warm at the bottom of their stomaches hoping the baby would move toward the warmth. Others played music towards the bottom of their stomachs hoping the baby would move toward the music. I can tell you that I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and I have a two year old son who keeps putting his cold cup on my stomach. Every time he does that, I can feel the baby move away from the cold. He definitely seems to not like the cold and I always feel him move. Good luck!

At this point and time, I would not even make any decision about having anything done until you go into labor and baby is ready to be born, it is hard to tell, because at this time, your baby could change positions at any time.

So I would not worry about doing anything now, just keep doing what you are doing and then when it is time for your baby to be born, then they will know what to do, just relax, and do not let your midwife worry you, remember, things can change at any time, so why worry about something that you can't control, just deal with it when the time comes.♥♥♥
