Would Sachin have been given out in the old days?

In the 'good' old days of home (many would say biased) umpires Sachin would not have been given out LBW today. Even if he was hit ankle height in front of middle stump he would not have been given out before the advent of neutral umpires.

With home team umpires, probably not. For instance Bill Lawry was never given out LBW in Melbourne and the only time Javed Miandad was given out LBW in Pakistan was when he had passed 200.

i dont think in the old days umpires didnt believe LBW was a thing. but no, probably not. it was an odd ball to watch at full speed and i dont think an umpire wouldve believed there was no doubt in it maybe 15+ years ago

I don't think so. I think that bowl was tern thats why Umpire was given out. But I am not sure that was out or not.

Whenever I come across these two words "LBW" and "Sachin", two words come across my mind "Bucknor" "Australia". Hope you got your answer. ;-)
