my daughters hamster has a bulging eye ball and it appears white inside and can not see on that side?

last week i noticed my daughters hamsters eye looks large and sticks out more than the other... at first i thought it was just an abnormality... but the eyeball appears white inside rather than red like the other, and if you touch the hamster on that side of its body it jumps as though it did not see you coming. i have called up the vets but can not get seen until jan 12th.... what is wrong with this poor hamster? its less than a year old

you may need to take a sterilized needle and poke the eye and drain the xcess fluid from it so it don't get infected . useduct tape to wrap around the animals legs and mouth so you arnt scratched or bitten during the procedure. or you could take it to the vet

Please take him to the vet. He is clearly in a lot of pain and needs medical help.
