What is your favourite boxing rivalry?
Do you think it should have went differently? i.e. they didn't fight enough or fought too much, they should have fought earlier etc.

I'll also have to go with Benn-Eubank, when I was a kid British boxing was at it's helm and we had the best fighters in the world in all of the notable weight classes, moreover we didn't have cable in my house so the only fights we watched were the ones being aired on ITV sport or less infrequently, BBC sport. Benn vs Eubank was the first fight I can ever remember watching live , obviously I've watched it again as I got older and the rematch too and all the documentaries in between and the build-up & atmosphere on the night was immense. The 'Best of Enemies' was thee most significant and genuine of rivalries I have seen in the boxing ring to date. Absolute gold.
Bowe-Holyfield put on a fantastic trilogy too but it lacked the animosity

Nigel Benn vs Chris Eubank was the largest British rivalry in my life time. Benn, the Dark destroyer was constantly goaded and wound up by Eubank. it was really spiteful, a true hatred between the two.
The first fight between the two was an epic clash and a great stylistic match up. The second fight was seen live by over 10million people in the UK.
In this fight i think all the stars aligned for them, the only thing that took away from the fights was that Benn was a naturally smaller fighter and was just one weight above his absolute best.

Jmm v Pac. (fifth fight if Pac wins in April). Juan always gave Pac a run for his money and caused heavy controversy in the first three fights. DLH vs Shytty ped Mosley. Great close first fight. The rematch, Oscar jabbed and countered and beat the shyt out of a ped Mosley, but dumbasz judges gave the decision to shytty Shane. Even Shane's dad said that he would have to knock Oscar out to win, and Shane indirectly admitted he lost to.

Most recent is david haye and vladimir klitchscho (however you spell it) which should have been fouhgt earlier but david haye was moaning about his broken toe and delayed the match.
My faviourte of all time was ali vs frazier, which I do think they fought too much but they were all good fights

It's a toss up between Barerra vs Morales, Bowe vs Holyfield, and Ward vs Gatti.
These were my favorites.
