removed battery to work on car . refitted. input correct code ..simply cant find anything ..am fm etc

ford fiesta 2002. cd radio 6000RDS type.

nothing in answers to assist.. is radio rubbish now? as cost of an exchange outweigh any benefits so will if cant fix scrap and buy non ford as these tend to work better.

Update:

you might need a new radio antenna. not the one outside of the car, but the connection that plugs into the back of the radio. sometimes they short out and will completely cut off the radio signal. they are cheap, no more than ten bucks.

if correct code has been entered and accepted by radio after battery removal. then its safe to assume its lack of signal. the obvious answer is that given it was working before and not now..we have lost a connection from antenna to radio connection. recheck this as its possible it is was dislodged when replacing radio or is not fitted fully in...or... we have damaged antenna lead . have we cut it ? excess force etc when refitting?

ford radios generally are Ok. failing this can we borrow a radio ? and connect power and antenna to see if that works.if so its radio thats packed up and needs replacing. many radio supply shops can offer assistance here e.g. free fitting and if we are lucky some can eb helpful and check it for you before replacing.

It seems you've somehow separated the antenna from the radio. Recheck your work and trace the antenna wire back to the radio. It's either disconnected or got pinched and shorted the cable.
