    Groves KO inside 6 rounds

BQ) I thought the original stoppage was very unjust. It was the first time Groves had been in any kind of trouble in the whole fight. Froch landed a couple of good shots, but Groves was protecting himself and throwing shots back, everything you need to do in order to show the ref you can continue.

As Groves came forward, Carls arm/shoulder knocks Groves into the ref, who puts Groves in a headlock and stops the fight from behind Groves, while Carl is still digging him in the ribs, pretty much everything the ref shouldn't do in that situation as he is not protecting the guy he thinks is in trouble and isn't looking into his eyes as he stops the fight. Groves goes limp as the ref grabs hold of him, as boxers do when their opponent has them in a headlock in order for the ref to see that he needs to break the fight up. Its clear to me that that the ref got things wrong and Groves was fit to continue. If thats all it takes to stop the fight then the fight should have been stopped in any one of the first 6 rounds.

I think Groves may have deserved the 1st one, but like the Chavez/ Vera rematch the better fighter will REALLY win the rematch... Froch by Unanimous Decision.

I reckon Froch will be a much tougher opponent for Groves this time around because he will have looked at the mistakes he made in the last fight and he is probably going to make sure he doesn't make those mistakes again. I think it will be pretty close

In rematches ,i usually favor the more versitile fighter which is Groves. Groves is a lot more familiar what he's up against the second time around and should make appropriate adjustments.

    George Groves by UD.
