You pay a lawyer to do a job--he has all information necessary to complete it-how long should you wait before contacting the bar association?

Not long. Ask the attorney in writing for a progress report. If you do not receive a satisfactory explanation immediately, you need to notify the state, not county, bar association right away. Depending on the nature of the matter, you could lose your legal rights for failure to act on time.

If the attorney is refuseing to do his job then report him.Go on the net look up cannons rules for attorneys,in your state.

These will tell you what the attorney is suppost to do.

Make sure you copy any letters to and from the attorney.ask him for a detail letter of services he spent on the case.

Your question does not give any details ,so this is the only advice I can give.
