Will Boris Johnson stand as MP in 2015 and would you vote for him?

I've heard rumours that he might stand. Personally I can't stand him. But I'm interested to know what others think and why they think that?

I'd vote for him (not that it would make any difference in my constituency, as it always elects anything wearing a blue rosette, rather like Henley where he used to be the MP). I know he comes over as a floppy-haired buffoon, but there's some substance under there as well.

It's difficult for the Mayor of London to actually achieve anything, given the very limited powers that the post has, but as Mayor he actually has, more than Ken Livingstone ever did. Under Boris, we now have "Boris bikes" - he got Barclays Bank to sponsor bicycle ranks all over central London, where you can pick up a bike, ride it around, put it back and just pay for the time you borrowed it for. Not the greatest achievement in the world, but it's more than most politicians can say they've achieved.

Hi it is more than likely he could be the next conservative prime minister.
