hoover microwave query?

Hi guys

ive just purchased a hoover microwave ( http://www.brighthouse.co.uk/microwaves/hoover-3-i... ) ... which works great .. however when I use the microwave only and ive microwaved a ready meal as soon as the program has ended theres still a noise ( although the turntable has stopped and its reported on the led that the program has "ended" )

what is the noise that continues after the program has ended ? .. it sounds like a fan or something, however until I know what it is I will keep on turning off the microwave and resetting the time

any help will be much appreciated

cheers guys

Most modern microwaves do this nowadays. I believe it's a safety feature meant to stop the appliance from overheating. It seems to happen at and after 30 seconds of use with my microwave. I wouldn't unplug and restart the microwave if I was you, as it may cause a fuse or something else to be broken, causing the appliance to stop working. Microwaves are expensive these days and the parts are even more expensive! Don't worry, there's no chance of the microwave exploding as it's only doing what it's programmed to do at the end of the day. It won't do something it isn't meant to do.
