what happens if you take omeprazole with hot drink?

my stomach bloats right away after doing this ..and is very uncomfortable..however if I take with cold water first thing before any hot drinks my stomach doesn't swell ..im asking if anyone else as noticed this..also heard that no hot drinks ie coffee and tea equals no reflux ..im trying this next few days ..ive been taking omeprazole 20mg for many years maybe 20 ish...report soon hope this helps someone .....also I had[omeprazole induced] leg cramps ...doc prescribed quinine sulphate and cramps went away after couple of weeks ...any ideas appreciated

    Nothing...my husband takes all 11 of his prescriptions with coffee every morning.

    Stop taking your medication with hot drinks like coffee and tea. Not only are they acidic , but the hot liquid removes the protective film from the medication before it has reached the place in your stomach where the acid in your gut is supposed to dissolve it.
