Should I part company with Blossom. I have aspergers, there's a few bullies in the group. Blossom supports members with disabilities?

Update:

At Blossom we do activities like socializing, painting, cooking, reading, craft, tai chi, yoga, line dancing, country dancing, table tennis and other games etc. The activities are fun. A lot of the members swear, lie, bully. Most of the clients have cerebral palsy, epilepsy, downs syndrome. There was this one time, when I was playing table tennis with a downs girl and she cried and accused me of hitting her in the eye with a ball, which didn't happen. I had to apologize for doing it though

Update 2:

there's this other girl whose confused, doesn't know how to make friends, doesn't understand how to socialize, makes a lot mistakes. If you walk into the kitchen and she's in there, she says get out of the kitchen and stop following me. Also if you have a conversation with others, she will say stop talking, i don't like talking. If you're making eye contact whilst talking to others, she will say stop looking at me. She does this even if you're not looking at her.

Update 3:

If you ask her for something, she ignores you, if you say hi, she ignores you. If you ignore her back, she will say leave the group, else ill tell my support worker. If you try to talk to her support worker, she will cry. If you start talking to her support worker, she will say don't talk to my support worker, she's my friend, not yours. she's also gone as far as telling her support workers boyfriend to get lost.

  • Doesn't sound like any of the 3 people you mention are bullies. They have difficulty with social interactions. That's partly what the program is designed for. Leave if you want, but I am guessi g you will lose more than you gain.

I agree with Teddy & Chiliswoman that they don't seem like bullies, just people with their own problems. Yes they may be difficult, but wherever you go you have to deal with people who can be a bit difficult. It can be a pain but that's life, so just accept they can be a pain at times, but as I said we all have to deal with difficult people in life, so don't leave as that wouldn't do you any good.
