How I find out what my Windows 8 Activation code?

I had windows 8 when i bought the laptop, then upgraded it windows 8.1 but late ri had to do a factory reset and it says that i need to activate windows, but i don't have my original windows 8 key, How do i figure out what my key is....? Oh and my warranty is up.

    If you did a factory reset on an OEM device using the OEM reset disc then you don't need an activation key. If anything you need it to be online then hit activate.
