Laptop Stolen was Wiped Clean when got it back main HD (C:) is empty 100% free space?
So when I was on a family vacation my house was broken into and my laptop was stolen after about a week, it was mailed back to me from an unknown address and when i got it i had a black screen appear saying something about no installation on main HD (C:) so I put my windows 8.1 Pro ISO. that I got three weeks ago before this incident. and it wont let me install it on here I need help. Someone please?

Umm i put the disc in and then it starts up asking me if I want to install windows and I click install type in the Product Key agree to terms and it gives me to options a custom option and am advance option, one of them tells me about a Windows Media server and wont let me install and the other says that the drive partitions cant be used

what exactly is it saying when you try to install? are you getting the installation screen or is it not booting into the disc? if its not booting into the disc try hitting esc or delete or f9 when u first turn it on, it should take you into a UEFI or BIOS menu and give you the option to change the boot order, change it to your disc drive first and then your HDD, after it installs and goes to reboot do it again and reverse the order so that it will boot into your HDD the installation should continue
