From feeling calm and excited to suddenly panicking, what's happening to me?

I am going to start working at a Wal-mart and when I got the call for an interview a few days ago I was calm and excited, but now on the day before I start working I feel trapped; I just want to break down at cry. I never go outside, I'm always in the house on my phone or watching TV. Is this why I feel so panicked?

But why am I feeling this now when only yesterday I was excited to start working? What should I do about this?

You are dealing with the dual emotions of excitement and fear. You are excited about starting a new job and equally, on a subconscious level, there is a fear element because you are embarking on something unknown. Allow yourself to embrace this new chapter of your life and be open to meeting new people, having new experiences and being exposed to unexpected possibilities/opportunities. Right now your phone and the television are familiar, they make you feel comfortable and so you are attached them to make you less panic-stricken. Take a deep breath and hold onto the belief you are heading into something new and exciting.

  • You are so innocent, this wil go with age when youve gone through lots of fails and picked the pieces once and again getting to the point that you dont give a ****. For now the best thing you should do is close yourself in a private space without music or movies or **** and just meditate
