How can you remove staining caused by nail varnish?

I tried a new red nail varnish and after I removed it my nails were stained yellow

I looked online at ideas to get rid of the staining and lemon juice was a popular suggestion but this didn't work, so at the moment I'm having to cover it with my usual nail varnish, but this isn't ideal. Any ideas how I can get rid of the staining

Start using a basecoat as well, to prevent further staining.
