can you play wow withount buying the actuall game but only the account?
my firned is saying that you can download wow and only renew your subscription to wow , like you don't pay for the game but you pay for the account , like an illegal copy , i know its illegal and he only " said " no body actually did it im only wondering

You can play WoW without buying the game, but only up to level 20.
If you want to go past that, you have to have the CD-Key for the game attached to your account, which will get you to level 90. And you need the CD-Key for the expansion pack if you want to get all the way to level 100.
And you need to pay the monthly subscription fee; only the first month is included with the CD-Key for the game.

You download the whole game, but only the expansions you own are available unless you use a private server, (which is free) though this was how my computer was hacked so be careful.
No, you need to buy the game. At the moment, It's only £10 or $25? for level 1-90.
You don't get the level 90 character boost though as that only comes with the most recent expansion.
You get a 30 day free trial after setting up your account and then after you have to pay subscription fees.
I would have a look at recruit a friend if you do buy the game.
