Who is responsible for a child's teeth?
I thought I would ask this question because in the UK some parents don't blame themselves if a child gets rotten teeth through eating a high sugar diet. The parents don't seem to think that it is their fault and I find this attitude strange because a 4 year old child can't control what gets bought for their food.

It depends how old the child is. When they are young, the parents are responsible. As they get older, certainly beyond the age of about 12 years, it is the child's own responsibility.

The parents, first to teach good habits and monitor and to always pay for dental care.
