Should I message him and ask?

Just under a year ago, my boyfriend split up with me. He never gave me a reason why and it still haunts me now. im over him, over the relationship I just want to know why he did what he did and why he acted as badly as he did (don't want to go into details) but I don't know whether it's acceptable to ask? I just want to know so I can move on but I don't want him to get pissed

A lot of us women think we're owed a reason when a guy breaks up with us.

But the reality is, he owes us nothing.

And if you were to ask there is a great likelyhood he's not going to tell you the real reason. Why? Because if he thought you could handle the real reason, he would have told you at the time.

My advice: just accept that it wasn't a good fit for whatever reason and move on. Stop analyzing and re-anazlying the why and let it be.

This should have been done the moment you broke up or a week later at max. It's been ages I don't think it's fair to bring up the past after so long even though you've had no closure. I don't think he will respond well but if it's bugging you that much then I guess you can ask. He'll either respond calm because of how long it's been or pretty defensive and mad.

Yes, try asking him. Simply send a hello text, and if he does reply ask him how things are going and slowly come up to the subject. If he doesn't reply then just forget it, you are doing something right whether he answers or not. You have to know, otherwise you'll end up asking yourself this question your entire life. Message him and ask him, go for it, you won't lose anything!
