Rat problem, who's to blame?

My sister and I share a room together, the problem with this is that my sister is a slob. She leaves her clothes all over the floor and under her bed, she places her belongings that aren't clothes anywhere she feels like (her hair ties and old fast food cups are constantly found in the couch), and she leaves trash everywhere.

I don't want to clean up her mess, because she's 21 and I feel that cleaning up after her won't teach her to clean up after herself.

Just last night I saw a mice crawling out of one of the cups she left on the floor and I yelled at her that this was her fault, but she believes that it's my fault for never sweeping the room after she cleans up, which happens rarely. I feel that since it's her mess, she should be the one to sweep the room.

She has been taking her fast food trash to the kitchen trash for the past few weeks, but she leaves the trash to sit on the floor for about a day before she throws it away.

Because all this, I say she's the one at fault for our rat problem. Am I right to think this?

She's 21? how old are you?

Sounds like a childish argument between two 12yr olds, grow up. Fix the rat problem, regardless of whos fault, and agree to keep the room clean. BOTH OF YOU.

I agree with you. She needs to learn a lesson on cleanliness.
