How to show my character is black without using colors?

My pencil sharper is cheap and old and I can't buy a new and better one, so my color pencils aren't usable. My character has chocolate brown skin, but I'm not able to show this without using color, how do I show this by using a regular mechanical pencil? My drawings are in the style of anime, so I don't know if that will work.

At the side of her I put her name and age along with the color of her skin, hair, and eyes, will this be enough? Please and thank you for answering.

FFS – a cheap old pencil sharpener should not prevent you sharpening a pencil – that is just a pathetic excuse.

Why not try shading in areas that would have shadow. Try to vary between light and dark.

Use facial features such as the nose, ears, eyes, etc.
