Why cant I wear tights openly in public?

You can wear tights in public. The only reason your female friends don't know you wear tights is because you clearly haven't told them. I'm sure you may feel awkward, especially depending on where you live, but if you want to wear tights, then wear them! I live in an area that is not at all conservative and men walking around in tights would not be shocking enough to grab anyone's attention. Maybe you are surrounding yourself with the wrong type of community if you don't feel comfortable to live the way you want.

If you want to wear tights then wear them. It's your body and you know what you like so why stop wearing them? Who cares what other people think, it's your life and if you want to wear tights in public then go ahead. Doesn't matter if you're a man or not.
