Why does cracking my knuckles make my fingers warmer?

When I crack my joints, any joint, the area seems to get really warm. My mate said it also happens to him, which got me curious...

Friction makes heat. For example, if you rub your hands together, they get warm.

Increased circulation moves heat from your core to other areas.

Perhaps both friction and circulation cause your fingers to warm?

When you "pop" the joint you are also increasing blood flow. This causes the warmth. This was the basis for old time osteopathy
